    aussies are terrible at pronouncing words that end in the letter R. I went to a pub for lunch in Oz . the pub was next to a big new 40 story high rise that was still under construction The barmaid was a girl named Peta . there were a bunch of carpenters ,plumbers , electricians ect in there and 5 or 6 were named Peter . a guy came in and yelled "hey Peta " the barmaid  Peta and all the guys named Peter said " What ' The guy was actually calling to one of the guys named Peter.

    Yeah, my cousin keeps saying “sook/sookie”… I secretly smile cause in my country it sounded like “suki”, which is a patron at your store…
